Mary Kay Bader, MSN, RN, CCRN, CNRN
Biography
A recognized leader in the field of Neuro Nursing, Mary Kay Bader has been practicing for 25 years and is currently the Neuro CNS at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California. Ms. Bader has written numerous articles that have been widely published in several leading nursing journals and has lectured nationally on the topic of traumatic brain injury, ICP, stroke, aneurysmal hemorrhage and critical care. She was guest editor for the December 2001 issue of Critical Care Clinics of North America on Neurotrauma. Ms. Bader has received several awards; including the first Bayada Technology Innovation in Nursing Practice Award (2004), the 2001 AACN Outstanding Advanced Practice Nurse; the 2000 Ernest Codman Award from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital/Organizations, and several others. Most recently Mary Kay was awarded the 2005 AACN Circle of Excellence Mentor Award for the passion, knowledge and energy she so readily shares with her nursing colleagues.
